Beara – Bloodhound x Doberman Pinscher
Beara was born in 2014, and came to the Unit in 2016 as a trained man-trailing hound. Known as the Sheriff of the K9 Unit, he has a laid back, friendly demeanour and always keeps the young ruffian dogs in check, but once there is work to be done he shakes what his ‘mumma’ gave him (his NOSE!) and puts it to task, tracking down the targets with ease. He works for the pleasure of following the track and his reward is a pat on the head for a job well done. Being the gentle, friendly old man that he is, he loves getting hugs and cuddles from the guests and always has a good sniff investigating all the new smells people bring with them.
